About the Customer-facing Display (SkyTab)

Customer-facing Display (SkyTab) is an interactive guest-facing touchscreen designed to make the restaurant checkout process clearer and more transparent. Connected to the Shift4 Dine Workstation, the display shows order information to the customer in real time as staff enter the check. Guests can review items, modifiers, prices, discounts, taxes, surcharges, and the final total before completing payment, helping both the customer and staff catch order details before the transaction is finished.

The Shift4 Dine Customer-facing Display also brings several customer-facing steps of the payment workflow onto a dedicated screen. Guests can complete supported card and contactless payments, choose from configured tip prompts, enter a custom tip, and interact with Shift4 Dine loyalty features. Loyalty customers can sign in or enroll and view their available loyalty balance directly through the display. This gives guests a more active role at checkout while the employee continues managing the order from the main POS workstation.

For restaurants, cafés, quick-service locations, and other counter-service businesses, a customer display can help create a more consistent checkout experience. Instead of relying only on the cashier to read back the order or total, customers have a clear visual reference throughout the transaction. The display can also use customized idle and splash-screen images, giving restaurants an additional place to present their branding while the device is not actively processing an order.

Customer service in general is very caring and professional. The system is easy to operate with. The online gift cards purchase isn’t user friendly, called service team several times, not so much improvement has been made. Hopefully in the future they may solve the problem.

It has all of the modern equipment and convenience features we wanted at a better price point than most others out there. The 3 restaurants are all different so it’s nice to be able customize the set up to fit each one’s unique needs. Very user friendly interface on POS, handhelds, and back office log in. The system is pretty easy to use. Remote tech support is available to troubleshoot when we need them. We're pretty satisfied. This was our very first POS. Our operations streamlined significantly.

We like accepting Apple Pay and Online Orders directly through the system. The POS itself is very easy to use. The guys at Harbortouch POS of Boston showed us great support since the installation. They have been in our restaurant for the whole week until our staff got used to everything.
